Many, Many Years of Probate Experience

Probate is the court process needed to prove a will as authentic and carry out the wishes expressed in that will, and to properly administger the estate of the decedent. It sounds simple, but in reality, it's not. The probate process is complex, confusing, and intimidating for most people. At the Law Offices of George A. Teitelbaum, we have many years of experience in probate and estate administration practice. We have earned a reputation for caring for our clients, as well as professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. We put all that experience to work for our clients, relieving them of the trouble associated with an overly complicated process. If you are facing estate administration and probate issues, contact us.

Our practice is focused on helping the personal representative of the deceased go through the entire probate process for the estate over which he or she is responsible, and to properly administer that estate until it can be closed. While the personal representative has final legal authority over the estate - subject to the court's oversight and approval - it is in truth the lawyer who does much of the work. At times he is assisted by an accountant, an actuary, or other professionals such as appraisers. We have been through this process many times. We guide and advise the personal representative every step of the way.  We prepare all the required Court forms, inventories, accounts, petitions, and pleadings for the personal representative to review and sign prior to filing with the Court..

Prompt and Efficient Probate Service

We assist the personal representative with all the actions enumerated above. We work with him or her to act quickly to avoid bills accumulating, to handle estate tax matters promptly to avoid foreclosure on their homes, to settle debts, and to secure assets. Our goal is simple: to facilitate the probate process in order to help our clients deal with the affects of a loved one's passing.
